The Humor Index Webpage Builder 2.32
makes adding HTML tags easy. It also allows
you to create cascading style sheets and
automatically generate links for your page.

0.) RUNNING PAGE BUILDER

To run Page Builder simply open the file 
called build.htm with your internet browser.

After you type in your information & format it
for the web, click on generate source. After 
you click on view, if it's what you want: copy 
the text in the very last field into a simple 
text editor.

Save that file with a name of your choice
and the extension HTM or HTML.

OTHER PEOPLE LINK TO YOUR SITE:

Open: [builder.htm] in a text-editor like this.
Change where it says:

1B.) GETTING PEOPLE TO CREATE LINKS TO YOU PART TWO:

After doing that. Everyone who uses the link builder 
on your site will automatically see your link first,
if they choose to leave it in.

next open [build2.htm] in your text editor.
At the top of the page you'll see:

var myPageTitle = "Shayne Michael\'s: Humor Index";
var myPageURL = "http://shayne-michael.com";
var myAmazonCode = "thehumorindexsco";
var thisPageURL = "build2.htm"; 	// If you rename this page... This must be changed

Change the information in the quotes to reflect
your home page, URL, and Amazon affiliate code if you
have one. That will cause the links it builds to always 
include one link to your site.

2.) USING PAGE BUILDER IN GENERAL

Page Builder 2.32 is meant for people who have
experience in HTML, want to work in a notepad, but 
don't know all the tags... And would like to have 
the computer generate them for them.

First enter a title & some links. Your email address
if you want... The computer will handle formatting
all that stuff for you.

When you start working on the body of your page...
The computer will be as intuitive as possible.
When you click a tag, the tag will appear in a body 
field, with any requested text. To view the page 
with the new text & tag:

Click Generate
Then View:

This will open another window. If you don't want the
computer constantly opening a new window. Click:

WYSIWYG ON:

This will activate an inline frame where you can
view the page you're working on. Be forewarned: Clicking
on this button will reload the page and loose the form's
data: So if you're using this display window. Turn 
the WYSIWYG window on before you start typing. This 
viewing feature is not available on Netscape as Netscape
does not support inline frames.

The AUTO ON/ OFF

This fuction will force the browser to automatically
generate the webpage each time a new tag is added.
For instance pressing [H1] button, will cause the broswer 
to generate the document without you asking.

By default the AUTO mode is set to off. After turning
it on, you can press the AUTO ON/ OFF button one more
time to turn it off.

3.) SPECIAL FUNCTIONS:

## Typing this in the field right below where it 
says [DIV][SPAN][Remark] will cause the computer 
to insert new tags where you typed ##. If you don't 
type this the computer will automatically append new 
tags to the end of the document.

When you add the new tag. The ## marking will disappear.

$$ Typing this is the same field does something
very similar. The computer will place the new tags where 
you typed $$. However, it will not delete the $$
symbol so the computer will keep adding the tags 
in that general area.

You can also click on Undo to remove the last tag.
This version page builder is limited to a one-tag 
memory. After you undo the last tag, pressing undo 
again will not reinsert it.

3.b) SAVING YOUR DOCUMENT

You can press save to save the body of your page
and the specially created links. This feature currently 
only saves these two portions of your page. Future 
versions may save more.

4.) USING THE COLOR PALETTE

The color palette allows you to specify between
64 different colors. You select a color then apply it.

If you are using the color palette to choose the 
color for text or heading, you must first activate
the palette, choose the color and then select 
use palette when entering your text.

Just remember... Choose the color first.

5.) THE CSS STYLE SHEET CREATOR

Style Sheets allow you to choose the actual font
type and font size that your headings and paragraphs 
will be. This page builder will create style sheets 
and generate the correct syntax for you.

It even allows for one custom heading.

If you don't know what all the fonts look like, or 
think that you might make the site look worse, 
you can select from several ready made style sheets.
Once you create a style sheet, it will appear after 
you generate the text. Style sheets can be erased 
by punching the delete button next to the [Create CSS]
button. This gives you tremendous power over what 
your site will look like.

6.) THE AUTOMATIC LINK GENERATOR

The automatic link generator allows you to choose 
a category and will generate the links for you.
You can delete any link from the preselected links
& customize the categories as you see fit. 

You can even add your own webpage to the preselected 
links and encourage people to link to you.

You can choose to add or replace your links.
You can also format the link titles to be bold,
italic, or normal text style.
