CAD drawing of a windlass This is a CAD drawing of a windlass, the darker wood is oak, and the lite wood is eastern white pine. A mortise got cut too long by mistake and there was a need for a plug. This plug was carved to show an eye shape around a knot. And is know as "the one eyed timber god." He is watching us to make sure we don't make any more mistakes......
