foundation The brickwork had been tanked up to the beam, it had blown and so i chiseled it off. it was soaked beneth. The tanking goes down 50cm below ground hits a ledge and stops. then bare brick work goes down 50cm to the footing. which makes me think the tanking is pointless as water is penetrating from the bare brick below.
