Stock tank used to collect water for use at mill
Our nearest water source was some 150 feet away. It got to be a chore to carry the water jug over to it and fill it and bring it back. We had an extra stock tank - maybe 100 gallons - that we put on an old bulk gas tank stand. The gutter on the front side of the mill keeps it full. Even a .1" of rain will usually fill it up. There is an overflow that goes down to a drain pipe burried under ground that takes off excess. In the winter we drop in a stock tank water heater. Keeps it nice and un-froze.
