Tube replacement - Jan 2013 It was time to change out the oil in the wet bearing on the drive side. My usual practice is to pull the tube from the top fitting and bend it down so to drain the old oil out and then fill with ATF as required through the top of the tube. Works fine. Except when the tube is 11 years old and it’s just above freezing. Well, it broke off. I knew it’d be too short to reuse and was dark anyway. I had enough new tube left from the CBN sharpener remodel to make a new one for the mill.
