Hay Island Prov Park near Neguac NB
Salt grass was harvested and bunched on raised mounds to keep dry by Acadian settlers. Some plants were also harvested and eaten from the salt marshes. We saw some terns flying in small flocks overhead. Fishermen tending nets in the shallow waters were harrassed by sea gulls. There is a boardwalk around part of the marsh as well as outhouse facilities and change rooms.
