rafterfoot2 this is bent #2. I'm resisting the thrust at the rafter foot with lagged steel. It specced out to 16- 12/" lags. With room for assembly and proper spacing it got pretty long. Think about the amount of wood behind each lag and the amount of wood resisting thrust in bent 1.
