Howdy guys.  My local dealer will take my current saw as a trade in toward a new saw.  I've currently got a Stihl 270C.  Over the phone, the guy said I might like a 361.  The 361 appear to have a full 1 HP more than my 270 and it weighs about 2 pounds more.

Note sure yet what the price is or what they'll give me for trade-in value but do you guys think it'd be that big of a difference?  I've never used a "professional" saw before but I cut a lot of firewood, some of it pretty large, and I want faster cuts and less 'bogging down' of the saw.

I'd just like to be near your dealer.  Mine won't accept trades at all, or I'd already have a 361.

Why would you want to trade? You can never have too many chain saws.

What is his problem, especially with the brand he sells? I get guys looking for used ones all the time, most of them wanting a 100 dollar saw. Roll Eyes
warbird, you will notice a big difference going to the  361. Larger chain and lots of power.
