What an odd question, I'll bite. Yes I am familiar with the Delaware Destroyers, don't listen to much of the music. I did see them in a club in 1986 (?). I drove a friend of mine out to Delaware. She had inheritance legal paperwork to take care of and did not want to drive it/fly it by herself. I went along for the ride and we spent a week up and down the east coast. Popped into a bar one night and they were playing.

The tree in the picture is big, but not "bad to the bone". I can only assume you are going to tell me to "get a haircut and get a real job"  Cheesy

Get a haircut and get a real job
Clean your act up and don't be a slob
Get it together like your big brother bob
Why don't you get a haircut and get a real job

DanG, I had forgot about that. I need to add that back, so far it has worked  Cheesy.

I found the picture, but I cannot remember how I put it in my signature? Maybe I can't do it now?

I thought you had glommed on to one of my pics.

Let those that never experienced the pleasures (and humidity) of longer hair continue to wonder why we grew it.

I have seen linden of that size on the cape.

I'm going to volunteer a little tree care for an old Catalpa in Jacksonville, Oregon, at a historic Beekman house. Looking at a couple of photos, I'm positive that yours is quite a bit larger.

The dendro book says heart rot is common and it is one of the fastest native grown woods for fence posts.  Smiley

And that right there is the definition of an oxymoron:

"Heart rot is common" and "grown for fence posts."

The same can be said for eastern white cedar to Riles. Yet they are used for fence posts, were once used on rail fences, and once used for telephone poles. All three uses last decades.  I believe it means it's more common in large diameter trees. Wink
