I've got a Fisher wood stove [plate steel] that has kept me warm for nearly 40 years. Only thing ever done to it is  fire brick replacement and paint, and still going strong.

At some point I neglected the paint on the top and it has some pretty good rust pitting. So the question, does anyone know of a finish for this type stove other than basic high temp paint?

thanks in advance.

You may be able to get it powder coated with a high temp coating. Like the coating on powder coated exhaust headers.
