Just cut 2000' beautiful sugar maple with lot of sap. Cold here in WI and my DH just won't get very hot. Am I safe just putting it in without AD (as it won't AD very much anyway) as long as temp remains low for a while? I mean we're talking 70-80 degrees.? Thanks much!

Sugar Maple needs to dry fast to keep bright color. Don't put more than 1000 BF per HP of dehumidifier in the chamber. I don't know what size you have but the residential dehumidifiers (and EBAC LD800's) are usually 1/6-1/8 HP so you would not want more than 150 BF per load. If you have an EBAC LD3000, keep the load under 750 BF. If you have a Nyle L50, keep it under 500BF or an L200 keep it under 2000 BF. Keep the temperature around 100F until below fiber saturation.
