After picking up the new mill today I made arrangements to stop at a previous customers house and cut up a section of black walnut that I couldn't fit on my old mill. I had talked him out of cutting it last time because I knew I'd have to butcher it up and drop the value. I really like that "wide" option! At the widest point these slabs are just over 32"

He even sent a couple slabs Home with me to say thanks :)

Nice, nice tip he gave you too.  Was your old mill the one that got turned downside up by the lady in the car who'd gone off her rocker?
Boy, back in my day..

No, that wasn't me. I have an old lt30 that I outgrew and upgraded to the 40 wide.

Thanks magicman, you couldn't wipe this grin off with sand paper :)

That 32" cut is impressive.

I think that extra 6" is going to make a lot of money in the future

Thanks!
It's black walnut and I ended up with the 26hp kohler, almost went diesel, but it was another 10% and this was scary enough as it was lol. The only thing I've spent that kind of money on in the past had a mailbox at the end of the road.
