In my project to add hydraulics to my old LT40 I need to install a fuse between the battery and the hydraulic pump.
Factory hyd. mills have a fuse box next to the battery, but looking at the parts list they use four "mega" fuses, (2) 150 amp and (2) 225 amp 32v fuses.

For just running a single hydraulic pump I wouldn't think I'd need more than one fuse (I'm guessing the 225 amp).  Are the others used to fuse the drive motors & multiple pumps on newer mills?  What do I need?

Hello,
One 2 gpm pump would need one 225 Mega or 250 amp fuse plate. Two hydraulic pump motor would need one 450 amp Mega fuse or two 225 amp fuses together these were used on early mills.
The parts manual says two as you stated but one is in the box as a spare.

Thanks Marty,
That makes more sense...didn't think it should need more than one.
