I spent most of the day at an auction today.

It is fairly rare that they have any logging related equipment, but there was actually a clark 667 cummins powered cable skidder there that went for a steal. I didn't check it over, but it was a runner and had a nice set of ring chains. The guy walked off with it for 3500 and 10% buyers premium for the first 2000.

There was also an old sawmill there that I had never seen, it was built like a mobile dimensional except powered with a 24 horse onan. It looked as if it had not been used for years, but not all ragged out either. I missed what it sold for, which chapped me as I intended to watch it sell.
The brand name was little champ.

Correction, it was a timber champ mill, not a little champ. lol

Auctions are a lot of fun, I am supposed to stay away from them. ;D Some people get carried away and pay close to retail or more but there are some real deals out there. I picked up an old 7" table saw and a belt/disc sander for 15 bucks, sold the saw a year later for 25.
