Found this gem at a garage sale today for $1!!! Its a Griswold round bail handle griddle. I've been wanting to start collecting cast pans and I have a few other lodges but they dont compare to this Griswold. I'm definitely gonna have to keep my eye out for more of them. Anyone here collect old cast iron pans?

There's a fine line between turning firewood into beautiful things and beautiful things into firewood.

I used a fine steel wool too take off the rust. The photo makes it appear worse than it was, I ran it under hot water in the sink while scrubbing it off I took my time and applied really light pressure so I wouldnt take off the original finish. I just finished seasoning it in the oven I use Crisco it seems to work best for me. Just made an egg and it slid around like a dream haha

Another one I got from the junkyard. It doesn't have a name but it was in great shape.
I wish I could find a Griswold 13"

You probably can find a Griswold 13 for around $800-$1000 !!! ;D We got a whole lot of cast iron, griswold and such ,and my wife uses them. She has a glass top stove so she uses the ones with the smoke ring so they sit level.
