508 caterpillar grapple

we have a 1988 cat 508 grapple skidder. anyone know what the model of the grapple is called?  I can't find any info on the machine.  and it needs parts and repair.

there was one with an esco grapple on it on fleabay a while back how do you like the 508 I had a chance to buy one this summer for 10k but was told to stay away from the 508 it was hard to get parts for them  :-\

Production of the 508 stopped 26 years ago.
Hydraulic rams etc of that age are usually pulled apart to determine their condition and observe/ measure what the appropriate repair strategy is.
Bushes are often off the shelf or modified to fit etc.
Rotators rebuilt if not totally obsolete.

There are few 508s around in various stages of dismantling.
There are after market parts for the esco.
