Stihl 261C parts
« on: August 13, 2017, 02:07:47 pm »
The top cover on my 261C was cracked so i stopped in to my stihl dealer to order a replacement, the proper replacement without the carb adjustment screw holes was $cad118. The top cover with the screw holes was $cad45. I couldn't justify the more expensive so i bought the other. It looks shiny new but every time i see it i think it doesn't belong. I know its just aesthetics. I still confused about the significant price differences. I thought it was new enough that parts would be well stocked. Anyone else experience something like this
The saw is more fun than the purpose of the wood... the forest is trembling 🌳
