I am a custom cabinetmaker from southern MN my in laws are from western SD. I recently started making tables from wood veneers from dead trees off my property. My in laws have some eastern red cedars that I'd like to cut down and use but not sure about transporting accross state lines.

We ship cedar logs to various states for furniture and architectural purposes.  No problem that I know of.
If ERC grows in both states, then I don't think it would be alright.  No diseases or insects that are specific to ERC that cause a problem.  Your state ag or forestry department would know if there is.
I am in the pink when sawing cedar.

Correction to my last post.  It should be alright to ship between states because it grows in both states.
