tax law   can you tap the trees when your in the tax program or do they consider it damaging the trees

If you're talking about tapping trees on state-owned land, in this area you would first contact DEC and get permission, then PAY in an (unknown to me) amount of $/tap!

There is nothing in the 480 about tapping or damaging trees. We have been working on a 480 parcel for several years and some the 480A's are tapped every year, one even has a vacuum system.
