Building a flagpole to go outside our seasonal buisiness.

Started out with some quarter sawn white oak that was air dried for 5yrs. Had a lot of bow, I ripped it to rough size on the mill. Glued up 5 laminations, ending up with a 35/8×41/4 × 20'. Left a 3/4" channel in the center for power, antenna cable or whatever. Put it back on the mill and squared it to 3 5/8. Did some creative shimming on the mill and tapered all 4 sides from 5/8" to nothing over 16'. The old lt25 never ceases to amaze me!

A little work with the belt sander and chamfered the edges with the router. Hard to get a good pic, going to do 4 coats of spar varnish.

Still have to make the (truck) for the top and fabricate a steel mount that will be set in concrete.
