Long bar is not to bury, but to save back ( I am 5'4" ). I like the saw, but would like more oil. Is there an oversized oil pump, or can I retrofit an oil pump from another model saw? The local Stihl dealer does not even like the idea of the 28" b/C on saw.

Thx's, Fred.

The oiler on the saw wouldn't keep the bar oiled, if I remember right the oiler from a 461 will fit on a 362. You would probably run the tank dry well before the gas tank is empty. A 28" with a full skip chain will have 30 or 31 teeth, a 20" standard chain will have 36 teeth so you wouldn't under hp your chain, but cutting will be slow.

Thanks, just what I was looking for. Will keep a eye on oil level. Eventually, it will get a shorter bar. My back can not take some of the bending anymore.

Thx's, Fred

I believe the 362R version has a higher output oil pump.
