I use it both at the mill and bucking logs when im logging to mark my lengths. It writes good on both lumber and logs and is heck of alot cheaper than paint. My kids get about 10lbs of it every birthday so i put it to good use. It does wash off but good for that short time frame, need to know mark. Thats my helpful hint for the day... or year. :D
Saw you tomorrow!

I use it too. It does work really well.
It seems I am a coarse thread bolt in a world of fine threaded nuts!

Making a living with a manual mill can be done!

I've got boxes of it around all the time, and don't have any little kids using it anymore.
Works good for marking lengths when I'm bucking logs.
Makes a mess when going thru the wash though.  :o
Work hard. Be rewarded.

I've been using chalk for years to mark rough lumber for sizing in the workshop.  Good tip, as it works great, and doesn't stain the wood like paint can.
