With oil changes charging around $60.00 these days I
think it's time to make a truck ramp. So I spent all day
welding and cutting and grinding. I hate grinding. I could
not wait for a shower. All the welding done. I need to dig
two holes to put the legs in to level it out. My little Kubota
had to show off again by putting it's hind leg in the air
again so I put her back in the barn and got the big boy out.
This ½ thick stuff sure is heavy.

As usual, you did good on the ramp, but I want to know about those long brick in the background in the first picture?

The long bricks is some kind of stone that was built into
the barn. The top one has 1885 carved into it.

That ramp is nice, I just want to visit sometime and spend a few days wandering around your place  :) :D

Is it going to be basically level when installed?  That's a nice way to get under something.  Jacking and jack stands then crawling under with no room is hard on a body.
Looks good and rugged!  1/2" will be heavy enough to handle everything you own I reckon.

Was Bob an ancestor of yours?  That is neat, a good friend/neighbor of ours went with us looking for the old Estate cooking stove that had fallen through the kitchen floor my grandma was born and raised in.  It's still down there somewhere I remember seeing it years ago, all I could find was a porcupine living in the attic, the stove is buried now  :-\.

It's under there on the backside of the house.

Are the start of the ramps tied in the hill too? Or just the long legs?

The one on the right facing the ramps is staked to the ground
with a 3 foot 1-1/4"od stainless shaft. I cant stake the left one
because it's adjustable for different vehicles.

Looks like you will need a scaffold in the front so you can add oil before backing off.  :o
I bet the local kids will use that as a ramp to jump their bikes when you are not around.  :)

I have been threatening to to do something like this for quite a while. Curious to know if you need to make any improvements.

I was going to ask about the ramps being adjustable, but you answered that all ready, good job.

I have a pit in the barn, 3" oak boards cover it flush with the concrete floor.

I'd like to put one in my shop, I just don't have the room or money for a hoist, and it really wouldn't be that hard, one of those someday plans.
