Does anyone on here have Canadian log grading experience? Some Cedar I was looking at milling the other day graded poorly and now I am wondering what to do with it. It graded J and U with some I pieces. So I'm thinking its all for fencing. What is this grade going for per meter?

If Im not mistaken, the J and U log designation means this is coastal log scaling lingo vs interior which is different. Im not sure on the J's but the U's which basically stands for UTILITY is running around 80 bucks a cubic meter. I've seen some nice coastal utility but Id bet on 6 cubes per thousand bdft. Can get pretty good money for fencing around here if you are willing to deal with individual customers instead of a broker. Cedar log prices have been off the map high for the last two years.

Gang logs are going for $200 a meter at the moment. The prices are very high right now
