Edge is gonna send me back to Grammar School.   :-\

I am now using a "wimpy" laptop with hardly any memory.  Long story and my fault, but I am dealing with it.  To conserve what memory that I have I had to abandon Firefox and use Edge.  There are quirks and different left and right mouse click functions, but I am sorta mastering that.

OK, what's the problem?  Spell Check or more accurately stated; Auto Correct.  If I misspell or inadvertently touch an incorrect key instead of simply underlining the mistake, it sometime changes the mistake to whatever it thinks that I said.  These changes are sometimes not even close to what I wanted to say.  :P  Yup, there is probably a way to turn if off but I think that going crazy  smiley_dizzy  will be easier.

From the Start Menu (lower left window icon)

Settings / Devices / Typing / Spelling

You can turn Autocorrect off, but leave Highlight misspelled words on and correct those by hand.

I cannot find a method for just turning it off in Edge.

Wow, I would have never ever found that without your help!   :o

Now I wonder how much other stuff is hidden that I need to know about/use.   :P

You can always ask Cortana, but she lies.

You are most welcome.
