I had no idea that there was a special day for Vietnam Veterans, but now I know.

My normal greeting to Vietnam Vets is to say "Thank You and Welcome Home" because sadly that was not the outspoken greeting at the time.  The majority remained silent and the loudmouths were in the streets.

That special day was not headline news, it should have been!  From what I have read President Trump initiated it for the first time this year.  Its well deserved!!
Thank You!

My older brother was an air traffic controller in Viet Nam. He made it home but he never recovered from the experience.  :(

Thank you for thanking us. How times have changed. When I got out I came home and threw away my uniform. Now I see guys with Viet Nam  vet hats. Vietnam stickers on cars. I was in armor [ APC scout] Americal div. 1/1 cav. 68-69 Left when I got hit with a grenade, and I was glad to go.  Muggs    8)

Lynn; I've been told the same thing by several different people through the years, as they found out that I was over there!

It still brings a tear to the eyes when I see what you wrote, and when I hear it verbally!
