The spring on the end of my throttle cable broke off at the hook. It's been 6 or 7 years since I changed it last and I no longer remember where it hook on. Anybody able to help jog my memory

I cannot help Lee.  Since I replaced my engine and added the autoclutch everything is different.  Doesn't it show up in the manual?

I don't guess I have an engine manual. Nothing about it in the paperwork I have. I'll figure it out. t can only reach so many places.

On the gas ones that I have dealt with it hooked to a strap with a hole bolted down to the upper slide pads on the mast. So that it pulled when the motor rocked over to engage.

Hello the spring on a 98 Super with the Lombardini Diesel would hook at the clutch arm.
Hope this helps.

Appreciate the replies. I remembered last night after I had already ordered two new springs that I still had one from when the cable broke several years ago. I managed to find where it hooked to easy enough. Went ahead and tighened the drive belt while I had the guard off. Also found a solinoid in my spare parts box. Need to replace that too. Been bypassing it for a couple of months now.  :D
