Festival of Lights 16/17
« on: February 05, 2017, 05:48:11 pm »
This is an annual light show that the city of New Plymouth put on each summer. The main park is light up with various light shows. Displays have gradually improved over the years as LED lights get better,

Let the tour begin. This is an artificial waterfall in the middle of the park. The lights under it cycle through every possible colour combo over time.

Main lake where you can hire a rowboat (illuminated of course)

Looking down on the band rotunda and main lake.

Just some illuminated gardens.

And trees.

From the top end of the lake, looking back towards the footbridge

Close up of bridge. Every LED in the display was individually controlled and multi-coloured so they could show pretty much any animated pattern on it.

Just a view down one of the paths. Moon, the big trees lit up, the ferns, and of course every kid has bought a light stick or LED ornament to wave around.  :D
Weekend warrior, Peterson JP test pilot, Dolmar 7900 and Stihl MS310 saws and  the usual collection of power tools :)
