I am forester my self my father is running small company that gets logs from Carpathians woods
we have zts lkt 80 and 81 Czechoslovakian skidders but we want change them for somethink better like Timberjack, clark , tree farmer
I just thinking to buy clark 666 skidder is one not so far from my place for 7000$ with 453 detroit engine is damaged but guy has a spare engine box and other  parts
Is it a good skidder ???

We have three. Two b models and one c model. They are great skidders. Good winches if they have the Clark good transmission and just big enough for good production

I only hear good things about the Clark.

When I have been in your area, I have only seen forwarders. Either forwarders or 4x4 tractors with forwarding trailers.

Yes the Clark 666 has a good reputation when they were maintained and had good operators.
For your location You might also consider something European (Europe made engine, transmission, hydraulics, axles etc)  like the Welte or HSM machines, even if they have higher hours. You could take the crane off, to lower the centre of gravity (ballast wheels or use tyre chains) and just run a winch depending on your environmental laws, terrain, slopes, haul distances etc. The German made machines could potentially have the bio-degradeable wiring insulation. You might look at Swedish/ Finnish built forwarders and convert to a skidder configuration.
What are the foreign machines operated in your area?

Welcome in not sure on parts availability over there but they were very good strong machines. Lots of guys here In New hampshier say they had the best winches around. I know a guy that had a 666 cable grapple with a 6bt Cummings that was a very nice machine

Just curious, I have watched a few  videos of lkt 80s and they appear to be pretty tough skidders to me , even with some  rough operators on it .  :)
What else do you expect  from a skidder ?
Make sure you know how to fall properly when you fall and as to not hurt anyone around you.
Also remember, it's not the fall what hurts, its the sudden stop. !!

thanks every one for replays LKT 80 and 81 are good machines but not that good like  timberjack or cat  kockums tree farmer skidders my own opinion
they are slow for claiming up the hills air brakes are very bad also they are only around 80hp lkt 80 and 100hp lk81
I seen Timberjack and tree farmers around Carpathians woods and guys love them
they like power and quality of the machines strong gearboxes  axels and winches so that makes work in the woods way easier
