This table also started as a request from a customer.  We made one and brought it to the Paul Bunyan Show last month.  You may have seen the video of Kevin creating a top from a slab cut by WoodMizer and then roughed out by Kevin with his chainsaw.  Then they took a draw knife to it.

Needless to say someone bought it even though it wasn't finished and I never really got pictures of it.

But here it is.  And finished with an interesting piece of wood.

I see a scared cat in there.

What wood is that?

I would go out on a cat limb and say cherry.

It is an incredibly interesting piece of red maple.

I know you are all distracted by Kevin's placement of the gears that look like eyes but it is a real pretty piece of wood.  Did you also notice the penny?

That's no cat.  It's a really big chipmunk.  ;D     And yes, I saw the penny.  Isn't that Kevin's trademark?
Been there, done that.   Never got caught [/b]

Now I see the penny, Is it this year's penny?
What a great way to remember when you make something.

yes, Kevin has been using brand new pennies to date his creations.

I think it looks like a goat.
