I know that the 042 have .005 per six inches. So how much on the 045's?  I just ordered some from Suffolk.

No need to get so technical , give them a little more tension that a .042 and try them then try more or less tension for best results.  I like to run mine a little less than recommended for best blade life .  Plus over tensioning will result in lower bearing life.  Steve

Suffolk has a nice guide on how to tension their bands.

Let us know how they saw

I just like to be close. Once I gauged my my 042 I found I was way over tightening them. Hope they work good. I priced some 055 but they ended up being about 40 bucks per blade. I passed. Sure would have liked to try them though. Mine are 13-10"
is why.

The amount of stretch should be the same for .042,.045 and .055.  The amount of tension will be different but the amount of stretch (strain) should be the same.

Had to read that a couple of times but I get what you are saying. Will be interesting to see how much more tension it takes.
