Here is a Doe that came by the cabin last July.  She noticed we were there and started snorting around our perimeter to warn other Deer or her fawns right after we got this footage but we didn't get it on recording.  A Moose had been in the same exact spot about a week earlier and a Pine Marten came by chasing a rabbit a few days after the Doe.
My wife was able to capture the Pine Marten on video and I'll post it later.

This Pine Marten was after a rabbit.  My wife had taken out her phone camera for the rabbit and was lucky to catch the Marten.

This stream runs thru our lil piece of heaven.  Fiddleheads grow here after the flow recedes and they were really good this year.  I slow cooked them for a few hours with a Ham shank bone.  Also have a couple pictures of cleaning them.  The area were the water is falling used to be my bridge to the other side.  ::)

Had a Cat show up the second day we were in the Woods.   I don't know how long she had been around but she proved to be a great huntress. We didn't know it but she had more of a surprise for us a couple weeks later.  My wife suspected she had a litter and followed her to some equipment I have tarped.  Then they moved from my Mill shed to the Tarp area on a daily basis.   When I was at the Shed they would go to the Tarps.

A couple more low quality videos from last summer.  I couldn't upload from the Bush while there.
One is of a Garter Snake buy my mill area.  We saw a lot of snakes this year.  Much better than mice. ;)

A Young Moose eating aquatic plants in a Bog off the ATV trail a couple miles from our place.

We also saw a Rabbit running toward us on the ATV trail.  It was a hundred feet in front of me, run to me while I stopped, then past my wife's machine, ran around her machine, then off into the woods.  When I turned back around to go, there was what looked like an Otter that crouched down and then ran across the trail in an open area that used to be a Log landing.  It was only later I realized what I had seen was a Fisher Cat.

Looks like a good time.  What did you do with the cats?

The story for Momma Cat isn't good.  She got hit crossing the road.  She did this a couple times a day.  We think she may have had another litter by the Farmhouse.  The two kittens were trapped after this happened and brought to the Animal Shelter in Presque Isle.
Momma Cat looked like a runt but she was one tough cat.  She left me a couple of Rabbit Feet in my Mill shed under a towel my wife had give her for her kittens. She also brought Mice to us to show.

This lil guy flew into a side window one cold morning.  I heard him hit and found him in the grass beneath the window.  He was knocked out and I wasn't sure he was gonna make it but put him in the Sun on the front step for about 15 minutes and he gained enough strength to take off. :)

This is a poor quality video of a Moose in our field about 300 feet from the cabin.  You can see it if you make the video player full screen.  It's short because I was going to film it from another window but he was gone behind some trees and I never was able to refocus on it.
