splitter bucket

hey guys, ive been thinking about a new project and wondering if anyone has ever tried attaching a splitter directly on to the bucket of the loader, If anyone has any ideas please share!!!!( I love Photos)

Firewood splitter i assume, Not stump splitter?

So the wood would fall into the bucket?

yeah trying to eliminate a step

   Describe what you mean, are you talking a hydraulic splitter similar to the 3 point type attached to the bucket or are you using the loader cylinders?

yes similar to a 3 point hitch hydraulic splitter

How would that eliminate a step? You would probably have to un hitch it to dump the load anyway. Just drive the loader up close to the out feed end of the splitter.

I think if the bucket was large enough it would be an interesting addition. Would have to be powered by the machines hydraulics to allow dumping which would limit its desirability for me. I did see a picture of a purpose built firewood hauler that had a built in splitter with a short conveyor into the box. It looked handy.
Life is too short or my list is too long, not sure which. Dec 2014

it would be powered by the tractors hydraulics and not need to be unhooked to dump, still in the "brainfart" stage, not sure what it will look like yet! appreciate any input!
