A friend left this saw with me about 6 yrs ago and has since died.

Would like to know the size of this saw and any history on this model.  It has about a 42 inch bar and is a reduction chain speed type. Its big and weighs about 50 lbs, took a real man to carry this saw into the woods and use it.

Does it have any collector value?

If I'm pointing out the obvious  :-X.......

A good place to start is Chain Saw Collectors Corner, CSCC, acresinternet.com.  Mike Acres site can be finicky at times, but it's the best source for info on old chainsaws.  His site also has a classified section.  As to collectability/value, maybe try eBay checking ended items for prices realized on the same or at least similar saws.  You could also try using the search feature at arboristsite.com to check comments regarding your make & model of saw.

Y'all be safe.
