Drive links?

I know this is a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyways.  I'm looking at moving up to a 24" bar for my stihl 362cm.  I am currently running a 18 inch bar that is 66 drive links.  These larger bars are 84 drive links.  Will I have to change anything on the saw to accommodate the drive link difference?

Thanks

No saw changes. The clutch sprocket doesn't care how many DLs go through it.  And that assumes you keep the same PITCH. You can't go from .325 to 3/8 pitch without changing the clutch sprocket-be it rim or spur.
Your 362CM should be 3/8 already, so not a problem.

I have a 20" and 25" bar for my 362cm and they are interchangeable.  Both are 3/8th which is what your 18 should be.  You will like the 25" bar on that saw. I find I prefer the 25 over the 20. I have been running full comp chain and haven't had an issue but just ordered 2 full skip.  I want to see what difference is.

I just got my 362 a few weeks back with the 20 incher on it, and would not mind trying out a 25 with the skip chain.

My 362 with a 25" doing a full bar cut in oak with full comp chain does cut well, just slower then a 440. I'm going to find a half or full skip chain for it.
