Does anyone have any idea of what sassafras is worth in the state of PA?

Thanks for your help.

Are you talking about logs or lumber prices? To get more than pallet or tie log prices in this area you will have to target a specialty market. Sassafras is actually a great wood for cabinetry, trim and the like but it is for sure a niche market. Once upon a time I bought it mostly for boat and canoe paddles, but of course it takes a particular board for such purposes.

I was talking log prices. Lumber products would be another story. It does make nice lumber, but most of mine goes to pallets. I've only seen a handful big enough for a tie and not sure they would buy it anyhow. A few craft people, hobby woodworkers seek it out. I like to use it for rustic furniture on my personal projects.
