Good read. Thank you for posting.  Seems it goes back to kiln drying for moister with a heat run at the end to kill beetles.  An alternative could be  or use of Solar kiln with a run in a heating chamber of some type to kill eggs and larvae.

Thanks for posting the article.  I will be milling some doug fir later this year that has been killed by the little buggers.  I was wondering how to make sure I took care of any eggs.
