It was built in 1913 by the owner of a water powered grain mill.  The sawmill was used for 60 years, around 1950 the water power was replaced by electrical motor.

I think I would be putting a dripper on that blade....

Neat machine for sure.  It would be hell on earth to operate for the impatient go-getter type person.  As for me, I'd be quite content to run that all day with a bag lunch, radio and old dog to help me spend the day.
