Hi! I m new to this group and I thank you for accepting me. A couple of years ago I purchased a project, lol! A vintage Belsaw the mandrel that drives the blade says No 8 but I m not sure if thats the mill model no or just the blade. It came in peices, some attched to rotten wood and some loose. I am trying to reassemble it on new wood but am not making much headway. If anyone is familiar with this saw I could really use some help and advise.
Thank you .

Thanks but thats why its taken 2 years. I haven t been able to find an affordable source of steel to build the frame. So I ve decided to use the wood beams I ve cut instead. If I wait any longer I ll be too old the run it when I m finished, lol.

Thanks for the video. I have three pulleys. One with the steel cable and two others. I can see where  two go but not sure about the third. I ll try again for pictures.

I bet there is a manual you can download somewhere on line if you can figure out the model, sure would be helpful

I did buy one online but its for the M14 model. Not that close a fit but It was helpful to a point. Different set up though.

See if this manual doesn't help:  http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/86/1045.pdf

Its from 1940 and is for a Belsaw on wood.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
