I bet that's steeper than it looks too.

Just a little bit.  :D
I brought it down a little ways on it's nose, hoping I could stand it back up. But at that angle there was no oil for the hydraulics.

It's kinda hard to show steep in a picture, but here's where I came off.

Another shot to the side.

Yeah, I was a little concerned that I was going to have to go get something else to pull it down with. But this job is almost 50 miles from my place, so I made due. I was real happy I spent over $200 on my come along, because I promise you, one of those Harbor Freight Specials wouldn't have cut the mustard.  ;)

I can see there is only one way out of the cab  ;D.  Looks like it's a little tricky, just enough clearance to open the door.
Glad your got  her down again.
Just wondering, did it stall the rotor ? or did it stall the engine first ?
Make sure you know how to fall properly when you fall and as to not hurt anyone around you.
Also remember, it's not the fall what hurts, its the sudden stop. !!

redprospector

The back window will come out for an "escape hatch", but since basically I'm a little lazy, and didn't want to put the back window back in after I escaped, I opened the front door and fell out.  :D
It stalled the rotor.
My son in law saw the picture, and said; "Hmm, extreme mulching".  :D

That looks very steep! It must be a 45° angle, that's 100% slope, right?
Too many irons in the fire

redprospector

Yeah, it's pretty close to 100%. But it's not a long slope.

Logger RK

As my Old Timer friend of mine would say "that's steeper then a cows face". 8)

redprospector

Almost cows face.  :D
I looked at another job yesterday that's worse than this one.
I think I'm gonna pass.

That's kinda like the guy from NV talking about the 112* temp, "but it's a dry heat" :D
Wondered why you didn't set the mower down... until I read about the angle & no oil! I hadn't thought about that one. Glad everything worked out.
