hey guys, i have a question about replacing a bar for an echo cs-400. i split the sprocket nose on the cheap laminated bar that came with the saw and am having problems finding a replacment. the # on the bar is 18FOAD3372 PB. it is 18" .050 gage 72 DL .325 pitch and has a 10t nose sprocket. i do not know much about these girly saws as my 385 husky uses man sized chain, you know, the kind that cut wood (the echo is my dads)! could this be a low pro or picco set up? the 10t sprocket is really throwing me off. can anyone help?

I am a little surprised the saw has .325 chain, I would expect to see 3/8" Picco. The Oregon bar would be a 180GPEA041 with a 62 dl chain. There is nothing 'girly' about your dad's saw. It is a fine unit for pruning, light limbing and small fire wood cutting. No point hunting squirrels with a twelve gauge. ;D

Yeah anything below 60cc is actually a hair dryer. I use Stihl 064 for pruning.

That saw should have 3/8 lo pro .50  chain, I used to be young and dumb now that girly saw is my favorite saw.  Steve

The 18" .325 bar and chain will fit but is a bit much for a 40cc saw.  The K095 mount fits Husky, J-red, Dolmar and a few others but not the small Echo without modification.

Yep. The K041 mount makes more sense. This one seems to be the one.

A CS400 comes with a 3/8 lp chain 6 tooth sprocket, A cs-400evl  is a totally different saw, way older.  Sprockets are not interchangeable .  Steve

I'm assuming the OP knew what he was talking about when he described the chain, not when he stated the model #.

Is it a CS-400, or is it a CS-400EVL?

If it is an EVL, a decent bar is the Oregon 180GLGK041.

If your looking for a really good bar I would look at the Sugihara or total light weight bar expensive but really long lasting They are very light and last almost forever . I use them in logging and buy maybe 1 every year after daily use . Sometimes 2 years depending on the saw.  8)
