I picked up the mill today.  I have to say the wait was tough but well worth it. I spent the day in Albermarle for some training on it  and they were top notch on walking me thru it. Last week I wanted to just pick it up without the training, that would have been a mistake. All I can say is this thing is a beast.

   Congrats on the new mill. Tyler brought me mine January last year. Had warmed up to about 5 degrees by the time he got here and 6-8 inches of snow during the demo. They do a good job there at Albermarle but from what I have seen of Marty at Shade Gap PA and hear of the other locations that is probably the norm.

I agree it seems to be the norm. Tyler was thorough and new when you understood and was just nodding your head. This forum had prepped me for the hands on with him. Can't wait to get to work but I think I'll go thru the steps again.

Very nice!! You better get to cutting with it tomorrow, the forecast for Saturday is 80% rain and 40% on Sunday. I have been watching it all week. I have a 5600 bdft job to do over in Awendaw and it won't happen this weekend...  >:(

Let me know when you are ready for the DVD's and Ill bring them out. Always a good reason to see a new mill! 8)

Thanks . I was able to cut 1 log today to practice. It went well. Kipper we don't need any more rain. I was going to cut with the forestry mower Saturday but had to change to Friday.  Shoot me a pm if you are planning on traveling up this way.  I get to summerville at least every couple weeks. I'd like to get the videos from you. All I can say is this mill is a beast. I need to figure out how to post videos and get some on here.  Finally after reading here for a few months I can put it to use on running my mill. Thanks Everyone for all the information you have put on here.

Thanks . I have moved the chairs around the mill, All the views are good. That's my cabinet shop. ( my main gig )

 :D I have that kind of luck anyway  :D   There is dust on the mill now. I got to mill a few logs Thursday.  The shop does good with the dust collector on the equipment. Then every once in a while I'll open both overhead doors and blow it out .  Saw dust in the shop is a killer and will take you out of the game quick. I never cared about it when I was younger.
