My folks have a small parcel of land in Maine....the hillside is covered with White Pine.

Nice straight trees, 50% of them are 36" through at chest height.  The rest are 24" through at the chest.  One of the doubles hard a 'bad day' during a high wind and fell....so now my father is thinking about having someone come in a get the big'uns out.

My question, what is the going rate he should be hearing from whomever he talks with?

{honestly, if I had the time and was closer...this would never be a question asked as we would be taking them down and milling them}

Ruff guestiment, but a 60/40 split on total harvested trees. That picture is really scary! Work safe!
