I am re-doing an older sawmill. I have a WM LT30.  I am getting read to replace the main carriage bearings. My question is. I would like to get the main rail sandblasted and painted. Is it much of a problem to take the saw carriage off of the rail.  Would this be something I should try myself. I am pretty mechanical but don't want to get in over my head. Thanks

Welcome Bob,

Should be relatively easy assuming you have a hoist or a tractor to do the picking.    Tell us your plan of attack.
