Have any of you developed any Android apps?

Any tips on where to start?

Are you looking for an app idea, or instruction on how to develop an existing idea?

As for an idea. I would like an inventory app that keeps data local to my devices. Most of the current solutions out there sync with a web site that need access to the data in order to process it.

I would like a relascope app that has english units as well as metric.

An app that could reproduce a prism (setting for any BA), but you could also note species, possibly condition or potential product  on each "in" tree would be great.

It's best to have some programming experience in Java first.
