Saw this hanging in Party City for $5 and figured it would look nice out of walnut and some cherry I had in scrap pile...template for heart plus a key for the finish was worth the $$$.

Clear shellac twice on both sides after a basic sanding to 150, glue pieces together, with spring clamp then spray.  Great gift and less than 3 hours on planer, table saw, mini bandsaw, scroll saw and HD spindle/belt combo sander.

This should get me another year of home cooked meals :)
