I have a new issue with my E Classic 2300.  It is over heating.  It was at 204 when I got home.  My son earlier in the day said it was coming on when the heat was already at temp so I am guessing that the issue may be with the pulse, so I disconnected it.

By the way mine was built in 2008 before the fancy controller, so the pulse is a later add on.

Hopefully that is the issue.

I don't have the pulse mechanism installed as I did not see a need for it.  I just used the "paperclip solution" and I have had no issues.  The most obvious reason for the over-heating is too much air getting into the firebox.  Check your door seal and/or you may have selenoid that is stuck open allowing air to enter.

mine never pulsed. it would simply run the blower until it hit the set point and shut off. they cycle all over again once hitting the low set point. is that what you mean by pulse?
