I'm very new. Own a cooks mp32, 6in rigid jointer and dewalt 635 planer. Want to mill for myself and friends and hopefully sell a little wood. Plan on getting a 20 in planer and rotary sander. Do I need to get a 12 in jointer also?  Live in southern Oklahoma and have fair access to free timber. Any thoughts?

Howdy, and welcome not sure what to say, other than get started with what you have and build from there,, just wondering how you are drying your lumber?
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

There are some good threads on here on large jointers.  From my reading, I'd say an edger might be a better investment than a large jointer but like drobertson said, start with what you have and your customers will tell you what you need.

Welcome from a fellow MP32er. Sounds like you do about the same as I. Tell us more about your mill.

Been looking at the cooks mp 32 and i really like it.  Gonna  uy a mill in the near future just cant make up my mind.  When i talked to them at cooks the shipping seemed so high. Just wondered you being so new if you are happy with your mill?
