I got a wall mount Flat Screen 7 months ago after having a big ole RCA projection for 15 or so years and have been looking for a Console to take up some space and hold the Box etc.  The stuff resides on a TV tray right now.  Somebody will be happy to see that set up gone.
Made this from some old furniture someone was throwing away that I had been using to store stuff on one side of the garage.  It's rough and that made it easier to ding it up some more.  I wanted it to look old.  The best thing about it is I didn't have to run to the store for anything.  Even the stain is a blend of 4 different bottoms of leftover cans that have been sitting patiently and waiting on me for years. My brad nailer is at the camp along with my sander so I drilled some pilot holes and used 3 different sizes of finish nails and glue depending on where it has going then put the head in deeper with a center punch.  I did have to order a new Bosch sander from amazon but bought the same model I have at the Cabin.  I love the quick release mechanism used by bosch.  Makes changing a qtr. sheet quick work of it.  Making holes and dings was an intentional part of it because of the reclaimed wood.  The hardware was off one of the Dresser cabinets.  It looks functional but it's just to accent the piece.  I stripped some black paint off the perimeter of the panels but it was white underneath that wouldn't come off some it stays with the piece.  It's somewhat faded and has stain over it and blends in okay.  The top and back used to be the back part of an old dresser. I scuffed it with steel wool after to smooth the stain down.  The work table behind it used to be a bunk bed.

There is something special about breathing new life into a piece like that and nothing equals the warmth of wood.  You did good.   :)

Amazing stuff right there!
I believe in the hereafter, because every time I take two steps into the tool crib to get something I wonder " what did I come in here after"

If nothing else I'm always a good last resort or the guy to hold up as a bad example
