Here's an old video of myself from a 1995  TV show. VCR tape that was spliced after been eaten with about 5 minutes of footage missing. I just filmed it with my phone off the TV screen, talk about redneck uploading to YouTube  :D

Saws I was using were a 1989 Stihl 044AV , early 020T, very early 066 Mag red light and late model 090AV. Also showed my Yamaha YZ bikesaw.

Well my red neck ways aren't good enough.  :-[
I successfully uploaded the video to YouTube but for some unknown reason I can't transfer the link here.

EDIT: 7 days later now I have it figured out what I did wrong, thanks Joe.

Thanks for sharing, nice video

HolmenTree

Slingshot thankyou so much for helping me out getting that link embedded  :)

A note of interest that comedian on my video was born and raised in  Boston, MA.  His name Jon Ljungberg ..... he met and married a Canadian girl and has been living in Canada ever since. He worked his way up from doing stand up comedy covering LasVegas shows like Tom Jones and Celine Dion,  then onto 11 years hosting a morning TV show here in Manitoba.

You're welcome Holmen. The way I do that is go to the top of the page
with the video playing and left click on the url, (url turns blue), then right click in the blue and copy, then go to the post and right click and paste.

If it hangs to the left, your likely to be a Husqvarna man.
If it hangs to the right, your likely to be a Stihl man.
Anything else is an uncomfortable compromise.

I see the correct link "l" is shorter. How do I make the one I typed shorter?

Thanks fellas.
When that film shoot was made the film crew showed up at my door with little warning as I was trying to get my homemade bikesaw ready for demo. I got a saw horse setup in my front yard but didn't have time to get fresh fuel and a log to cut.
Either way it was quite the experience as I had to wear a wireless microphone and fell a 90 ft spruce without hurting any of the 7 crew members.

They actually buried a $50K  movie camera in the ground and I had to fell the big spruce right next to it making it look like it fell on the comedian.
A little head wind picked up right when the tree was ready to fall and with no axe and wedge on me I had to push it over by hand.....reason I was grunting a little in that first scene. :D

Paul H, I'm having a problem translating your Norsk in your avatar :
eg tregar meste pa Tulla, for hovar Krulla i ulla

I almost emailed my cousins in the old country to see what it means :D

Well I  asked for the translation of this Norsk quote from several people in Norway and  I never got a true answer, as it appears to be from a song in old Norsk of the late 1800's.
If my Grandparents or my Dad were still alive they could read it as they spoke old Norsk.
But no luck from the younger generation.

As you know, I have heard that song many times, but have no idea what it means....

Thanks Niko. Googling it , it pops up as a PDF of a 1890 something book of sorts with the old Danish Norsk.
Maybe Paul H. can chime in and correct us

What I have found is that it is the counterpart to the somewhat Danish influenced Norwegian languish of the time, based on an assortment of obscure dialects.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you,I hadn't been in the chainsaw section for awhile.

Tulla was a sheep that the shepherd had watched over for 15 years but at the end of the song shows that she was killed.

Eg tregar meste på Tulla. For ho var krolla i Ulla  translates basically as "I grieve most for Tulla,
her wool was thick and curly"

It's from an old Norwegian folk song

Thanks for replying Paul. I did figure it out that wool was involved but that was as far as I got.
